After a lifetime of sewing & counted cross-stitching, she began quilting in 2007 when she took a beginners class in quilting at The Stitching Nook in Richmond. After the first lesson she was hooked by the geometric patterns, colors, and wonderful fabrics. Her work has won blue ribbons, Best of Show, Grand Champion, and Visitor’s Choice ribbons at the Mooreland Free Fair, the Franklin County Quilt Show in Brookville, the Metamora Quilt Show and the Wayne County Extension Homemakers Quilt Show. She has also exhibited at the Indiana Heritage Quilt Show in Bloomington.
In addition to her bed quilts and wall hangings, she makes other items including baby quilts, cloth baby books, baby toys, purses, aprons, and baby bibs. She also takes custom assignments.
