The People’s Choice Awards will be presented at the Summer Sounds Concert, Saturday, September 18, during intermission. The Concert is held on Marion Street on the Danville Square.
7:30 -10 am Check in at the Hendricks County 4-H Fair Grounds, 1900 E Main St Danville, IN 46122 Here you will enjoy breakfast treats with juice/coffee/tea and pick up a “Goodie Bag”. Up to 3 canvas can be stamped here. (one may be turned in for judging)
2:30 pm Deadline for turning in completed artwork at the Fairgrounds. Table provided with tools for framing. Enjoy light afternoon refreshments and surprises while artwork is being judged from 3:00 – 4:00 pm.
4:00-5:00 pm Public invited to view completed plein air artwork.
4:30 pm Cash Awards Presented
Public Sale of plein air artwork.
Award-Winning paintings will be on display and for sale at the Gallery on the Square through September 20. Guests are invited to visit the Gallery during this time to vote for People's Choice award. We will request that sold pieces remain at the Gallery through September 20.
-Artist’s name and price of artwork needs to be on a card placed on the back of the painting when turned in. -Please do not sign artwork until after judging. -Wet paintings need to be framed for safe handling. -To have your name included in the Event Program you need to be registered by Friday August 6

*Professional: One who is trained or has studied beyond high school and has a degree in art, and/or has had work accepted in one or more major juried shows, i.e. Hoosier Salon, Indiana Heritage Arts, etc., and/or has been accepted into an established Gallery and/or earned their living entirely or partially (over $600 per year) with their art. This may include those that teaching art in school or workshops.
